| Childers Door Service of Central IL successfully completed the comprehensive course and examinations of the Institute of Door Dealers Education and Accreditation to become an Accredited Door Dealer.
What Accreditation Means to the Customer
The purpose of IDEA Accreditation is to enhance consumer confidence in the qualifications and character of dealers who sell and install garage door products. There are virtually no restrictions on who can sell and install garage doors in the public marketplace. Accreditation identifies companies who have met strict criteria for quality and professionalism:
• Accredited dealers have experience with the products they sell and have demonstrated expertise through the scrutiny of an independent organization.
• Accredited dealers have successfully passed written examinations on the subjects of Accounting and General Business Principles, Legal and Insurance, OSHA Regulations and Safety Compliance, Residential Technical Basics, Commercial Technical Basics, and Sales and Marketing Management.
• Accredited dealers have demonstrated a commitment to overall industry quality and professionalism by investing their time and money to voluntarily earn the accreditation designation.
• Accredited dealers continuously pursue new information and education to stay on pace with industry advancements, product changes, technology and customer needs.
IDEA does not endorse any dealer or warranty products or work performed by accredited door companies. However, IDEA has established this comprehensive program for industry dealers to validate themselves as having met the standards established for accreditation. When you select an accredited door company, you can have confidence that you are dealing with a professional organization.

| Congrats! to Mark Yordy. They successfully took and passed the examination at the Spring 2008 CSDDA session in Joliet, IL.
Residential Installer Certification represents an independent, third party validation of an individual’s professional status. This program is available to installers with two or more years of experience in residential installation, and who have been verified as being fully and fundamentally trained by an IDEA-Sanctioned Trainer.
Certification is earned by passing a comprehensive written examination based on the IDEA Residential Installer Certification Study Guide. Those who pass the written examination with a score of 70% or higher will earn the designation: Certified Residential Door Systems Technician

The International Door Association (IDA) primary mission is to provide programs and services to door and access systems dealers, for the express purpose of enhancing their value and professionalism. Gates . Founded in 1995, the trade association (501 c 6):
Produces an annual trade show and exposition (the International Garage Door Exposition)
Publishes the industry’s leading trade journal (International Door & Operator Industry)
Facilitates the creation and production of educational, accreditation, and certification programs through its partnership with the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation
Provides educational scholarships to IDA members via the IDA Scholarship Foundation.
Enforces a Code of Business Conduct equally important to ethical door dealers and consumers.

| Childers Door Service of Central Illinois, LLC becomes a meber of the Central States Door Dealer Association (CSDDA), an affiliate of the International Door Association (IDA). We are an Association made up of the local retail garage door dealers providing products and services to the local retail and commercial marketplaces and national suppliers and professional groups providing products and services to the local dealers. The local retail dealers are located throughout the state of Illinois and in the St. Louis area of Missouri, and soon to expand to Iowa and Wisconsin. The national suppliers and professional groups range from Pennsylvania and Ohio to Illinois and Kansas.
